Challenge #1

Brand Maverick was approached by Walgreens concerning a proposed strategy to better connect with and engage the African American Community during black history month.

 

Solution

Talent Procurement: Brand Maverick suggested a national in-store radio, celebrity influencer based campaign to help both drive traffic into store as deliver a message of health and wellness.

 

Results

After devising a script that hit all of Walgreens health & wellness objectives, GRAMMY Award wining singer & NAACP Award winning actress BRANDY was brought in to record a message that served as creative way for Walgreens to stay committed to the promise of helping people get, stay and live well.

That promise was heard in over 8,000 Walgreens chain-wide across the country, to no less than 8 million customers per day.

 

Challenge #2

Brand maverick was asked for strategy on how to help Walgreens better connect and engage with the millennial generation, a much younger audience that normally frequented the retail chain.

 

Solution

Event Activation Creation & Product Integration: Created Hollywood confidential panel for aspiring actors in Hollywood, presented by Walgreens. Complete with product integration & activation opportunities onsite.

 

Results

The Hollywood Confidential panel introducing the chain to a younger urban audience (AA, HA 18-35), reaching thousands attendees, over 20 million digital impressions & coverage in national pop-culture based publications such as VH1, Global Grind, AfterbuzzTV, Bossip, The YBF, Essence, Yahoo and more.
